The Palace FINALLY Breaks Silence On Catherine After Endless Rumors About Her Health Condition
Kensington Palace first has addressed concerns about the Princess of Wales’ health after being pulled out of the public eye for two months and undergoing abdominal surgery.
So much time has passed, but we haven’t received much of an update about the Princess of Wales. From Christmas to Easter is a long time for Catherine to go without being seen.
Online sleuths, frustrated at the lack of official updates on the health of the Princess of Wales, have come up with a number of wacky theories about where the princess is. Some even wonder whether Catherine was diagnosed with a serious disease.
Today, Kensington Palace has brushed off speculation surrounding the Princess of Wales’ health following wild conspiracy theories on social media.
In a new statement, a palace spokesperson sought to reassure well-wishers after speculation broke out on social media questioning the princess’s possible whereabouts. The royal spokesperson said:
“Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess’s recovery, and we’d only be providing significant updates. That guidance stands.”
They did, however, add that “the princess continues to do well,” as well as stating that Catherine was unlikely to return to duty until after Easter.
The statement also read that the palace would only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’s progress when there was a significant new piece of information to share.
The exact details of the princess’s condition have not been revealed, but the palace said previously that it was not cancer-related and that the princess wished her personal medical information to remain private.
The royal had wished to take time to focus on her family, especially their three children, during her hospital stay and continued recovery.
Speaking to royal biographer Phil Dampier, he said:
“The royal family—in this instance, Princess Catherine and King Charles—have a right to privacy. But these are not normal times, with two prominent health issues.”
The last public appearance that Princess Catherine made was on Christmas when she joined her family for their traditional walk in Sandringham. It was only a couple of weeks later that the palace shared the news that she had been admitted to the hospital and would be taking a break from royal duties until Easter while she recovered.
The news was met with concern by royal fans, but as the weeks have gone by, many have grown frustrated with the lack of official updates.
The Prince of Wales had been due to attend a memorial service on Tuesday for the late King Constantine of Greece, who was also his godfather, at Windsor Castle but decided not to attend.
However, according to a royal source, William’s absence from the event was understood not to be in relation to the Princess of Wales’ recovery at home in Windsor from abdominal surgery last month.
The source said, “The Princess of Wales continues to be doing well.”
Of course, the princess’s recuperation period means all of her engagements for the next few months have been postponed, and it is understood her return to official duties will depend on medical advice nearer to the time.
Among the engagements the princess will miss over the coming weeks is the annual Commonwealth Day service in Westminster Abbey, as well as the St. Patrick’s Day parade with the military next month.
Official overseas tours for William and Catherine are also off the table for the time being. However, aides insist that although the princess will be out of sight over the next few weeks, she is likely to be working behind the scenes on one of her long-running projects.
Her passion for the early years is clear. “There will be a huge continuation of that campaign, and she will be keen to be out continuing that conversation with the nation as soon as possible,” a source said.
Kensington Palace declined to comment.
