Shock Confession! MAFS’ Madison Myers Proudly Admits Cheating: ‘I Don’t Regret It One Bit!

Married at First Sight season 18 cast member Madison Myers is shocking me with her lack of remorse for cheating on her husband, Allen Slovick, and I can’t believe she and David Trimble are being rewarded. Married at First Sight season 18 recently aired its first reunion episode out of two. It comes on the heels of an unprecedented season full of volatile cast members, mismatchings, and editing mistakes. Only one couple out of five remained married come decision day, Camille Parsons and Thomas McDonald. Besides them, only Karla Juarez and Juan Franco made it to decision day.

Emem Obot and Ikechi Ojoré split around their one-month anniversary on bad terms with unkind words. But that wasn’t the half of it. I was majorly surprised when Emem started dating immediately after requesting a divorce from Ikechi and then became engaged to her middle school acquaintance, Brandon Williams, within a week. Then there was the cheating scandal, which caused Allen immense heartbreak, as he was blindsided, and David’s wife, Michelle Tomblin, to become understandably upset. Within the cheating scandal, I am most upset by Madison’s actions and malice, as David’s bad behavior was never astounding to me.

The Entire Experiment

The MAFS season 18 cheating scandal only came to light when David missent a deviant text message meant for Madison to his wife, Michelle.

“You are so damn fine I just wanna eat U up.”

Michelle pressed David on the nature of the text and David assured her it was meant for his cousin about food. But when Michelle called David out for the ridiculousness of the lie, he claimed the text was for a woman named Tiffany he met online before the experiment. I witnessed Michelle rightfully not buy that either. Hound dog Michelle surmised that the text was meant for Madison, as things weren’t adding up between the two, who were avid “gym buddies.”

During the couples retreat, Michelle asked David again about the text, and he upheld his lie. Then she asked Madison if the text was meant for her or if there was something going on between her and David. Madison, who was Michelle’s friend and confidant at that time, lied to Michelle’s face, which gave me a glimpse into the depths of Madison’s ugly personality. Madison even became upset with Michelle over the accusation, which tells me that Madison is a fake and scary person.

Madison only came clean upon being prompted by a producer. Madison and David talked, expressed their feelings for one another and decided to officially ditch their spouses in favor of a relationship with each other. Since then, Madison and David have gotten a lot of air time, and their callous and disrespectful reaction to the hurt they caused has taken center stage, which I find wholly unsavory.

Madison Is Not Remorseful

Madison Showed Her Mean Girl Side

When all the couples got together for the first time after decision day, I watched Madison and David arrive in matching outfits and not treat the uncomfortable situation with respect in the slightest. While Michelle was getting a drink, Madison took the opportunity to speak for Michelle and assert that Michelle, “didn’t give a s**t about David anyways.” That sentiment triggered Michelle, who had a retort to Madison about not speaking for her. I thought Madison’s mean girl response proved her inability to have any self-awareness.

“You really wanna do this right now, babe?”

The whole exchange and outcome of the cheating scandal left Michelle feeling like evil, i.e. Madison and David, had won, and I felt bad for Michelle. During the second post-season get-together for Thomas’ birthday, David and Madison showed up with the same inappropriate closeness they displayed at the first get-together, which underscored their nasty personas.Come the reunion, Madison, who has been getting bashed online by Married at First Sight fans, tried to sing a different tune. She was overly apologetic and reflective. While I know the reunion took place a year after the show, I still wasn’t buying her self-reflection.

I believe Madison was trying to save face during the reunion, but her disingenuous words held no weight for me.

Madison & David Are Unjustly Getting Screen Time

They Connection Has Become The Main Source Of Air Time

One of the things that bothers me most about Madison, is that her cheating, lying, and unremosrseful ways awarded her more air time. After the scandal broke, Madison and David had several uncomfortable segments (via @mafsfan) in which they got to showcase their relationship. David showed me who he was early on, but I expected more out of Madison. That’s why I can’t believe she acted so outrageously. I don’t think it’s right that Madison and David have been given more air time, essentially rewarded, for burning down the premise of the show and leaving hurt in their wake.

David & Madison Are Nothing To Look Up To

But They Are Getting A Soft Edit

I feel Madison and David got a soft edit in Married at First Sight season 18 compared to how they should have been portrayed. In these reunion episodes, Madison has not been getting the heat she deserves, and is getting too much of an opportunity to clear her name and disassociate from her wrongdoing.

Madison’s lack of remorse, and fake apologies, are driving me insane, as is how much air time she and David were rewarded with. During the season, Madison relayed, “I regret nothing,” and it is very troubling to me that she feels she didn’t do anything wrong. Her reunion apologies to Allen were empty, as was her half-hearted attempt to apologize to Michelle, who gracefully accepted to move on. Married at First Sight‘s grace given to Madison and David has severely disappointed me, but not as much as Madison herself.
