Married At First Sight Season 18’s Cheating Scandal Exposed A Major Blindspot For The Experts
Married At First Sight season 18’s cast has offered an even bigger knot for [the experts] to untangle with the cheating scandal.
The Married At First Sight experts have been dealing with disastrously low success rates. While most viewers aren’t looking for 100% accuracy in the series, it’s expected that at least one of the couples who appear each season will stay together and move forward, even if their relationship doesn’t last. In the last six seasons of the series, thus far only two couples have moved past the show and stayed together, leaving the experts scrambling to prove their abilities. Married At First Sight season 18’s cast has offered an even bigger knot for them to untangle with the cheating scandal.
The MAFS Experts Sat Down With David & Madison
The Potential Couple Refused To Be Honest
Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.
When the experts were brought into the mix, after the “connection” between Madison and David had been exposed to all the involved parties, it was clear they weren’t happy. Throughout their conversation with Madison and David, they tried to question the couple about what had transpired between them and how honest they were going to be on the show. While the experts probed, David and Madison appeared to stonewall them at nearly every juncture, keeping things to themselves.
MAFS Producers May Not Have Been Happy With The Conversation
Many Edits Made The Experts Look Less Biased
Although the experts were questioning David and Madison throughout their conversation on screen, the MAFS producers may have been unhappy with how biased and upset the professionals were over the scandal. Throughout the conversation, several cuts made it feel like the experts were merely questioning the couple, but it was clear from their tone and intonation that the MAFS experts weren’t happy about what they were hearing. While they tried to stay professional, David’s non-answers and Madison’s condescending tone weren’t helping the cause. Instead, the experts struggled to remain neutral, though they may be at fault for the entire issue.
The MAFS Experts Should’ve Matched More Carefully
Their Expertise Didn’t Create The Right Couples
Although the MAFS experts showed their genuine frustration with the way their chat with David and Madison went, the fact that the pair weren’t matched up together originally falls on them. The experts often think that their matches are the best possible, a major blindspot in their thinking that shows them putting together couples who aren’t made to last every season. With the experts investing so much in their abilities, the fact that they’ve matched two couples this season so poorly that two participants cheated is shocking. The Married At First Sight experts need to work more carefully moving forward.
Married At First Sight airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
