Kensington Palace’s Big Announcement About Princess Catherine After King Charles Emotional Message
Just days before the royal family gathers at Sandringham for their annual Christmas celebration, Katherine, Princess of Wales, delighted fans with a major announcement. After King Charles’s heartbreaking message mourning the death of victims, Kensington Palace gave a pleasant surprise to the princess’s well-wishers ahead of Christmas as she’s planned a special treat for the public. Her much-awaited carol service is set to air on December 22nd.
The official Instagram page of the Prince and Princess of Wales released a powerful video message of Catherine from her annual Christmas Carol service. In the video, the Princess of Wales said:
“Welcome to our Together at Christmas Carol service here at Westminster Abbey. Christmas is one of my favorite times of year.”
Catherine, who focused on the theme of empathy, love, and kindness, tells audiences to embrace the Christmas spirit, to stop and take oneself away from the pressures of daily life, and to find a space to live our lives with an open heart, with love, kindness, and forgiveness.
In the video, she said that the holidays are a time to slow down and reflect on the deeper things that connect us all:
“It’s when we stop and take ourselves away from the pressures of daily life that we find the space to live our lives with an open heart, with love, kindness, and forgiveness—so much of what the Christmas spirit is all about.”
The future queen continues to urge reflection on our own vulnerabilities and reminds us of the importance of giving and receiving empathy, as well as just how much we need each other in spite of our differences. She maintains:
“It is love which is the greatest gift we can receive, not just at Christmas but every day of our lives. Above all else, it encourages us to turn to love, not fear—the love that we show ourselves and the love that we show others. Love that listens with empathy, love that is kind and understanding, love that is forgiving, and love that brings joy and hope. It is love which is the greatest gift we can receive, not just at Christmas but every day of our lives.”
Across the United Kingdom, there are so many inspiring people embracing those in need. This carol service is a heartfelt celebration of every one of you and a reminder that at Christmas, and throughout the year, we must all shine for each other because in times of joy and sadness, we are each other’s light, she stated.
It’s important to note that Princess Katherine, who recently completed her cancer treatment, vowed to spread love and promote harmony in her new statement. The phrases originate from the letter she penned to every one of the 1,600 attendees at Westminster Abbey on December 6th, as well as the 15 additional locations throughout the UK before the Christmas holidays.
Notably, Catherine issued a new update on social media after King Charles released an emotional message mourning the death of precious lives in Vanuatu. As per official social media accounts of the royal family, the King and Queen expressed sorrow over the loss of life and property, which this devastating natural disaster has left in its wake. The statement conveyed sympathy for the loss of lives and property, extending heartfelt wishes to the affected communities.
The royal family’s commitments continued to reflect their focus on both celebration and compassion during the holiday season. While King Charles highlighted support for global communities in crisis, Princess Catherine brought festive joy with the highly anticipated update about her carol service—a tradition that highlights resilience, kindness, and the spirit of Christmas.
Back in January, Catherine underwent abdominal surgery and was out of the spotlight for two months. She then released a video explaining that she had been diagnosed with cancer and would require chemotherapy. The press and public gave her space, and she spent most of the year out of the spotlight.
When the Princess was cancer-free, she made a video message announcing so, which featured her husband and kids. This year’s Christmas card, which was shared on Instagram and X, was a photograph taken on the day the Wales family filmed the cancer-free video, and the Wales family released it on December 19th.
