Kate Middleton Spotted Without Wedding Ring—Divorce Rumors with Prince William Ignite Amid Cancer Scare
I noticed something interesting when Princess Katherine released a video last month to announce her completion of her chemotherapy treatments. Another piece supplanted her Sapphire and Jewel wedding band, which was recently possessed by her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. Additionally, Kate Middleton has stepped out once more without the renowned ring.
Middleton and Prince William surprised everyone by coming to Southport, England, yesterday. The two of them sat down to talk with emergency services personnel and provided assistance to those who had been hurt in a fatal accident at a dance class themed after Taylor Swift. After a brief glance at her left hand, the change in jewelry was obvious. Since she got engaged to William in 2010, she has been wearing her original engagement ring on a regular basis.
However, Royal writer and historian Lauren Kina suggests that the recent change may have a legitimate justification. “We’ve seen her go without the ring in recent months,” Kina wrote in The Court Jeweler. “She last wore it at Wimbledon in July, but photos showed the heavy ring turning on her finger, indicating that it might be too big for her right now to wear comfortably.”
The princess wore an eternity ring with diamonds and colored gemstones alternately set in place of her engagement ring. Kina went on to say that a close-up of her hands from Thursday’s engagement revealed that she was wearing four rings: her Welsh gold wedding ring, the new eternity ring with colored gems, and two diamond eternity bands.
It is important to note that the royal was also seen wearing the eternity ring when she met with a teenager diagnosed with an aggressive type of cancer earlier this month at Windsor Castle. Additionally, jewelry expert Phil Gro of Aore Fine Jewelry suggests that the ring swap may have a deeper significance.
“Eternity rings have long been a symbol of love, commitment, and connection that never ends,” he stated. “This ring may symbolize resilience and strength, particularly after Kate’s health journey. Given her love of personal possessions, the eternity band symbolizes moving forward with grace, eternal love, and hope for the future, while the sapphires likely link back to her famous engagement ring, creating a beautiful connection between generations of royal women,” he added.
“I had been carrying it around with me in my rucksack for about 3 weeks before proposing to Middleton with his mother’s massive engagement ring in 2010,” Prince William told ITV in his engagement interview. “I could hardly bear to let it go. I was holding on to it wherever I went because I was aware that if it vanished, I would be in a lot of trouble,” he went on to say. “Obviously, my mother will not be around to share the fun and excitement of things, so this is my way of keeping her close to everything.”
