Fans Moved Tears by Princess Anne’s Heartwarming Decision Towards ‘Ailing’ King Charles

Princess Anne’s subtle decision to keep the late Queen close has ignited a frenzy amongst royal fans. The way Princess Anne is paying a heartfelt homage to her mother by keeping her close has won her admirers. Royal fans are touched that Princess Anne is keeping Queen Elizabeth II close to her heart in a sentimental tribute to the late monarch.

After visiting Nottingham for a royal engagement, looking sophisticated in a chic purple coat, the Princess Royal greeted well-wishers. Fans were quick to note that the checked coat she was wearing was previously worn by her mother, Queen Elizabeth II. Spotting this, users on social media were touched by the gesture. One said, “That’s beautiful to see. I have been hoping that the wonderful garments of the queen would be passed on and enjoyed. No better way than Princess Anne. Very endearing.”

The late Queen had previously worn the coat as she disembarked the Hebridean Princess after a cruise with the royal family in 2010. The Princess Royal paired the bright-colored coat with a matching skirt and completed the look with black suede riding boots. Another fan wrote, “To have some items of your mother gives you comfort and strength. It’s a great jacket.”

Princess Anne left clutching a huge bouquet of flowers after her visit to Eastwood Primary Care Center. She has been stepping up to public duties in recent days. It was a poignant decision to keep Queen Elizabeth II close to the royal family amidst a difficult time following King Charles’s cancer diagnosis.

At 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, the 73-year-old Princess Royal held a two-hour-long investiture at Windsor Castle. Then, she spent the afternoon in Nottinghamshire visiting a healthcare center before returning to London for a prize-giving ceremony in the evening.

This wasn’t the first time the Princess had held an investiture, nor was it the result of a last-minute change to her diary. She had already agreed to take on the ceremony as a result of the King’s hospital treatment for an enlarged prostate. What was entirely characteristic, however, was her willingness to step into the breach in support of her much-loved brother, just as she had previously supported her mother, Queen Elizabeth II, for many years.

The royal brother and sister have been Britain’s hardest-working royals by far. Both are workaholics who have inherited a full measure of their parents’ famed dedication to duty. The diagnosis is likely to be professionally devastating for Charles, who was the longest-serving heir to the throne in British history before becoming King on the death of his mother on September 8, 2022.

Since then, he has hit the ground running, with three state visits overseas, hosting two incoming state visits to the UK, and undertaking hundreds of public engagements each year. Aides have said that he has relished the challenge and is hugely enjoying his royal role. However, the King’s diagnosis will raise serious questions about the workings of the monarchy, especially with fewer working members of the royal family.

The Princess of Wales, out of action due to abdominal surgery, is expected to be absent until after Easter. The Prince of Wales, heir to the throne, has cleared his diary to be by his wife’s side and to keep life as normal as possible for their three children. This will have a significant impact on the family life of the Prince and Princess of Wales, who moved to Windsor 18 months ago to allow their children to enjoy a more carefree childhood outside of the royal bubble.

Prince George, second in line to the throne, along with Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, all attend a local school, Lambrook. They have settled in well at their new home, Adelaide Cottage. William and Katherine’s teams are still based in Kensington Palace, their official residence in London, and they travel to Windsor for meetings. Questions will inevitably arise regarding how practical this arrangement will be moving forward.
