ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: History was made this week, Julie. What was it like having to sit out from hosting your show for the first time ever due to Covid, and watching someone else do it?

JULIE CHEN MOONVES: It was like a staycation. I was like “Oooooh, so this is what it’s like to have a watch party.” Just one problem… it was a party of one!

How do you think Jerry did standing in for you, and also delivering your famous “But first…” line?

I love Jerry, and I loved how he did the “But first!” He made it big, and it shows he gets the joke part of it. Hysterical. His personality really comes through in all he does cause he’s a genuine and genuinely funny guy. He made it his own and he did awesome! Thank you, Jerry!

Julie, everyone keeps using the Veto on Angela! How and why does this keep happening?

They don’t feel threatened by her. But don’t forget: In season 2, no one felt threatened by Will Kirby, and he won. Be warned: Angela knows this game and knows how to stir it up when she wants, and that has served her well. She can also show her loving, nurturing side, or her vulnerable side, and people gravitate to that. She may be playing the best game in there yet!

What do you make of the house deciding to evict Quinn instead of Kimo?

Smart, because he has shown he can flip on people easily to save his own game and not give them warning. He’s a clever player… funny, charming, smart, knows the game like the back of his hand, doesn’t hold grudges, fun-loving, and has personality for days. He’s not someone you want to sit next to in final two because he would probably be able to talk and charm his way into winning against anyone next to him of those left in the game.
