Big Brother 26 Host Julie Chen Moonves Offers Shocking Assessment Of Angela Murray’s Gameplay

Big Brother 26 host Julie Chen Moonves shockingly revealed that she thinks that polarizing houseguest Angela Murray might be playing the best game yet. For the first time in Big Brother history, Julie was absent from the live eviction episode because of a bout with COVID-19, which she was still testing positive for on the night of the live show. Julie was able to watch the show from home, and she offered her assessment of Angela’s gameplay. Angela is the most controversial Big Brother 26 houseguest.

In an interview with EW, Julie shared that she thinks that Angela was saved with the Power of Veto by three different houseguests–Tucker Des Lauriers, Leah Peters, and Makensy Manbeck–because they don’t feel threatened by her. However, she added, “But don’t forget: In season 2, no one felt threatened by Will Kirby, and he won.”

“[Angela] may be playing the best game in there yet!”

Julie then offered some words of wisdom. She said, “Be warned: Angela knows this game and knows how to stir it up when she wants, and that has served her well. She can also show her loving, nurturing side, or her vulnerable side, and people gravitate to that. She may be playing the best game in there yet!”

What Julie Chen Moonves’ Comments About Angela Murray Mean For Big Brother 26

Angela Is A Suspected Producer Plant

Since Big Brother 26 began, there’s been speculation that Angela is a producer plant. From her previous appearances on CBS shows, including House Calls with Dr. Phil, Let’s Make a Deal, and The Price Is Right, to her outrageous outbursts that seem too over-the-top to be real, Angela has always seemed as though she was cast on the show to create drama. Julie’s comments that Angela could win the game like Will are a dire warning that, although she’s mostly known for her antics outside of the game, she could slip by and take home the $750,000 grand prize.

Angela Really Could Win The Whole Game

Julie is right that Angela knows how to stir things up, but stating that she might be playing the best Big Brother game yet seems like an exaggeration. Angela can be manipulative, but she’s not a mastermind like Will. In fact, she often seems to act completely based on her emotions, and then has to do damage control after the fact. However, in Julie’s 26 seasons as host, she’s seen more than enough to make a reliable prediction.

Julie is correct in saying that the houseguests don’t feel threatened by Angela, and so they’ve been using her as a means to an end to evict bigger targets. When Tucker saved Angela, it was more about him wanting to try to get Quinn Martin on the chopping block than any loyalty to her.

The same was true of Makensy, who also used the Power of Veto to target Quinn, this time successfully. Even Leah, who’s aligned with Angela, saved her mainly because she knew that Angela could be a jury vote for her, but she said that she had no intention of doing it again. However, as the number of houseguests dwindles, Angela could end up skating to the final two and winning, especially if the houseguests keep underestimating her. After all, she has won two Head of Household (HOH) competitions so far this season.

Big Brother 26 has been a wild ride because of Angela. She’s unpredictable, which makes her much more of a threat than the houseguests realize. They should work together to evict her sooner rather than later because, as Julie said, Big Brother legend Will wasn’t seen as a threat either. Angela is a superfan who knows the ins and outs of the game, and she could win Big Brother 26 if her fellow houseguests aren’t careful.
