George, Charlotte, and Louis OVERJOYED as They Welcome a New Baby into Their Family!

It’s no secret that George, Charlotte, and Louie had hoped for another little sibling to join their family. Their mother, Catherine, has also been vocal in the past about her desire for a fourth child. However, with Catherine’s health being the priority as she focuses on healing, the dream of a new sibling for her children seemed distant.

Given this, the excitement surrounding baby Inigo’s arrival—the first child of their beloved uncle, James Middleton—has been a breath of fresh air for the Wales family. George, Charlotte, and Louie are absolutely overjoyed to have a new baby to fuss over, even if he isn’t their sibling.

James Middleton recently opened up about the heartwarming moment his nieces and nephews first met their new baby cousin on the first weekend after his birth. “It’s hard to believe he is only 2 days old. My sisters and their children came to visit, and we all had lunch together at Mom and Dad’s. There were cries from cousins of ‘Was I ever that small?’ and George, Charlotte, and Louie each took turns cuddling Inigo in their laps. They’ve already worked out there is a 10-year age gap between George and Inigo, and they can’t wait for him to be big enough to join in their adventures.”

He went on to describe the children’s excitement. It’s easy to see why the young royals are so thrilled by baby Inigo’s arrival. Having another little one in the family brings a sense of joy and hope, particularly during this challenging time. Catherine, who has always been close to her siblings, has even lent some of her children’s old clothes to Inigo. With his three older cousins eager to teach him everything they know, he’ll have plenty of guidance and love as he grows up.

James, ever the proud uncle, also took a moment to praise his sisters. “It’s been wonderful seeing them become mothers and being so dedicated and strong,” he said. “I’m in awe of that. I’ve been fortunate to see how my sisters have done it, and I’ve taken tips along the way—some I take on board.”

Catherine herself has spoken in the past about her desire for a fourth child. Back in 2020, she revealed that she had tried to convince her husband William to expand their family. While Catherine’s maternal instincts have remained strong, it seems William has been content with the three children they already have.

In fact, William has made light-hearted jokes about not wanting more children. Last year, during an event at Clitheroe Community Hospital in Lancashire, Catherine was seen holding a baby, which prompted William to humorously warn the staff, “Don’t give my wife any more ideas.” He also quipped to Catherine when she returned the baby to the parents, “Don’t take her with you!” This playful banter reflects William’s reluctance for a fourth child.

In January 2020, Catherine admitted to a royal fan during an engagement in Yorkshire that William wasn’t keen on expanding their family any further. “I don’t think William wants any more,” she confessed. However, it’s been reported that behind the scenes, Catherine hasn’t given up hope entirely. Rumors circulated in 2022 that she had been working on convincing William to have one more baby.

“Catherine has been talking about wanting another baby for a while now,” a source shared. “She has always wanted four children, and while William was originally happy with three, she has managed to twist his arm.”

For now, it seems the Wales children will have to settle for doting on their adorable new cousin, Inigo. But with their loving, close-knit family, the bond they share with their baby cousin is sure to be just as special as if he were their own sibling. The arrival of James Middleton’s first child has certainly brought new joy to the royal family, and George, Charlotte, and Louie couldn’t be happier.
