Big Brother Has Returned For A New Season, Complete With A ‘Murder Mystery’ Theme

Big Brother recently returned for Season 27 on July 10, 2025. The season, which is hosted by Julie Chen Moonves, has a murder mystery theme as the houseguests compete.

According to The U.S. Sun, houseguest Rylie Jeffries has racked up quite a record in his home state of Oklahoma. Reportedly, Jeffries, who works as a professional bull rider, has had quite a few “traffic run-ins” with the law.

According to court records, before flying to Los Angeles to appear on Big Brother, Jeffries had been arrested in his home state for “public intoxication and operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license.” Court papers claimed he “appeared in a drunken condition” while driving down State Highway 33 and Main Street during a 2018 incident. The documents claimed, despite being “intoxicated,” Jeffries “unlawfully, willfully, knowingly and wrongfully [drove] and [operated] a certain motor vehicle.”

Additionally, the Big Brother contestant was then charged with a count of operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license. He had been driving his 2016 Chevrolet truck down the Oklahoma highway at the time of the incident. He pled guilty and was forced to pay fines in the hundreds. His license was also revoked for six months.

More recently, Jeffries was charged with a second offense of driving with a suspended license. In August 2024, he was caught driving under suspension down Highway 66 in Oklahoma. At the time, he was driving a 1993 Chevrolet truck.

Jeffries appeared in court the following month. He was then convicted and entered a no-contest plea. He once again had to pay fines in the hundreds, with the case being closed by the following September.

In addition, Jeffries had a history of traffic citations in the state. He had been charged and convicted for speeding three times between 2021 and 2022. In 2024, he was also convicted for not wearing a seatbelt.

At this time, Jeffries is hoping to win big on Big Brother. Speaking with Parade, he shared that he feels his background as a bull rider will help him on the show.

Jeffries shared, “I think I have what it takes to win Big Brother because I have the mindset. I’ve ridden bulls for 15 years, and what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. I’ve been thrown, been bucked off.” He continued, “I’ve been thrown down, broken legs, jaw twice, and I haven’t quit.”
