Tom Bower, a royal biographer, claims that Kate Middleton disregarded her years of royal etiquette training during the event. According to the *New York Post*, Bower stated that the Princess of Wales was particularly angry with the newly crowned queen and refused to bow to her as she left Westminster Abbey. This was because the guest list only allowed the King and Princess of Wales to invite four members of the Middleton family, while the new queen had 20 guests.

The tension between Camilla and Middleton grew, according to the author. Bower also claimed that people who helped Camilla transform her public image from being the king’s mistress to becoming queen were not invited to the high-profile event. During the royal celebration, Camilla reportedly wanted her children and grandchildren to be the center of attention.

According to reports, Kate became furious when her siblings weren’t allowed to bring their partners. Bower said on the UK television program *Dan Wootton Tonight* that Camilla invited 20 members of the Parker Bowles family to the coronation, while only four Middletons were allowed to attend. Additionally, Middleton’s siblings’ spouses were not permitted to accompany them.

Bower continued by saying that if you watch the coronation footage, you’ll notice everyone bows and curtsies to the king, but no one reacts when Camilla walks by. He explained that this was because people were angry with Camilla. The royal biographer also mentioned that many individuals who helped Camilla become queen were excluded from the celebration and were upset about it.

William and Kate were reportedly furious as well, and this anger was evident during the ceremony. According to Bower, it was noticeable that no one, not even Kate, bowed to Queen Camilla. The tension between Camilla and Kate was still apparent the next day during the coronation concert at Windsor. William made no mention of Queen Camilla in his speech, further highlighting the strain in their relationship.

Bower added that in the weeks leading up to the coronation, Camilla appeared exhausted, and the event seemed to have taken a toll on her. He noted that those who met her before the coronation could see that she was tired, worn out, and clearly feeling the effects of her age.
