William & Catherine’s FINAL STATEMENT Against King Charles Bold Decision Over George’s Issues

Despite speculation that King Charles Roman III isn’t entirely enamored with how his son and daughter-in-law are raising his eldest grandchild, it’s clear that Prince William and Princess Katherine are parenting in their own way. Prince George is growing up knowing that one day he’ll ascend to the throne. Most of the time, he’s enjoying the life of someone in the upper middle class and spends a lot of time with the Middletons.

All the Signs Prince George Is Taking This King Business Seriously

However, he is growing up fast, and his parents are making sure to keep their eldest son grounded while navigating royal life. George is attending royal events such as Trooping the Colour, the coronation, and other big set events. He’s also slowly being introduced to those traditions. He has sometimes looked a bit stiff and formal in a suit and tie, but in the recent photo marking his 11th birthday, he looked a lot more relaxed, comfortable, and clearly maturing rapidly.

William has taken George to social events like football, and Mother Catherine has taken him to Wimbledon. Besides enjoying the sport, it’s good for him to meet people from all walks of life and gain confidence. Thanks to his father’s careful hands-on approach, George has slowly evolved from a rather shy-looking small boy into a more confident, responsible, yet still joyful-looking 11-year-old.

One of the ways in which the Prince and Princess of Wales have prepared George for being king is by not preparing him at all. The Wales kids’ childhood will be more similar to their mother’s, rather than their grandfather’s. While growing up, the monarch was aware of what his future looked like. He has spoken in the past of the dreadful moment when, as a child, it finally dawned on him that he was going to be king and that his whole future was mapped out for him—it came as a great shock.

Prince William shares exciting future plans - and Prince George will approve | HELLO!

William and Katherine are adamant that they want George, Charlotte, and Louie to have as normal an upbringing as possible, and not be burdened by his future destiny. A committee of politicians, courtiers, and advisers decided what school Charles should attend, what service he should do in the armed forces, and where he should visit in the Commonwealth, including time at a college in Australia. None of that will happen for George.

The next few years will be important ones, but by the time he is of age, George will be making his own decisions. William and Catherine will undoubtedly encourage him to do so. Their attitude is very much to give him the tools to decide his own direction, rather than force him into things he doesn’t want to do, so that he won’t feel weighed down by responsibility.

One of his biggest allies is his sister, Charlotte. Royal experts have suggested that she’ll be a key pillar of support for George, likening the pair to Princess Anne and King Charles. There’s a wonderful dynamic there. They were together at the Service of Thanksgiving for Prince Phillip, and they’ve stepped into some high-profile roles. When it came to Prince George carrying out his first official engagement in Cardiff over the Jubilee weekend, their parents decided to include Charlotte in that event.

In the same way that William was always his wingman for Harry, it’s rather wonderful that this dynamic is being echoed with George and Charlotte. You’re likely to see real teamwork between them in the future.

It follows reports that Princess Anne has taken Princess Charlotte under her wing, giving the young royal invaluable advice about her role within the royal family. Anne is perfectly placed to show Charlotte the ropes, as both grew up with an older brother destined to be king. The Princess Royal proved invaluable to King Charles, and now she’s passing on her wisdom to Charlotte. They’re reportedly talking all the time about everything—from women’s football, sailing, and horses to ballet, fashion, and manners.

Essentially, Princess Anne is foolproofing Charlotte to become the perfect princess and a standby queen.
