Kensington Palace Trembles: Catherine & William’s Royal Team in Turmoil Following Staff Departures

The Prince and Princess of Wales are encountering another setback with the resignation of a key staff member. Dimitra Pinent, a notable beauty executive, has stepped down from her role as the Director of the Wales Royal Foundation after serving as a trustee for eight years.

The 50-year-old Pinent has been instrumental in the growth of Charlotte Tilbury’s beauty empire and will continue her position as chief executive of the brand, which has experienced remarkable expansion under her leadership. Her departure comes four years after the Spanish company Puig acquired a majority stake in Charlotte Tilbury, valuing the British beauty brand at an impressive £1.3 billion.

The Royal Foundation is now facing significant adjustments following the exit of Dimitra Pinent, who has dedicated eight years to her role as a trustee and director. This latest change follows the recent resignation of another key staff member, Rob Dixon, who stepped down from his position as royal equerry.

Dixon was appointed in 2020 when William and Katherine were still known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and continued in his role after their elevation in 2022. Prince William’s equerry, Lieutenant Commander Rob Dixon, has announced that he is stepping down from his post after four years.

“I’ve had the most incredible opportunity to serve in a role that not only challenged me but allowed me to grow, to learn, and to make meaningful contributions alongside a talented and passionate team,” Dixon said. A source reported that Dixon is leaving his role as an equerry to return to the Royal Navy, where he has served for more than four years.

Equerries—military officers who assist senior royals with public engagements—generally have three-year appointments. “It’s now time to swap the top hat and tails for daily working rig once again, and it’s the right thing to do,” Dixon added.

Dixon highlighted several memories from his time working with the royals, including the small part he played in the funerals of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, as well as the Platinum Jubilee and King Charles’s coronation. Prince William’s new equerry will be Squadron Leader Mike Reynolds, a helicopter pilot from the Royal Air Force.

“I will be forever grateful to everyone who played their part alongside me in Team Cambridge and Team Wales, and also to my superb principals,” Dixon said. “I wish you all fair winds and following seas.”

Since Katherine wed Prince William in April 2011, Kensington Palace has regularly shared details of her outfits with select members of the press. However, this will soon change as her health battle has given her a new perspective—she no longer wants the spotlight to be on what clothes she wears, it is claimed.

It is understood that Kensington Palace may issue details of the royal’s outfits for the most important events but not for other royal duties. A close friend of the princess claimed that Catherine understood the interest in what she was wearing if she was attending a film premiere or Trooping the Colour. However, Catherine found it enormously difficult for the central focus to be her clothes rather than her work, particularly when she first began her royal duties.

“She was going out and doing the work she was interested in and was hugely important to her, and people just talked about what she was wearing,” they told the publication.

The princess is known for her resilience and dedication to her royal duties, but recent reports reveal that she is facing a significant health challenge as she undergoes chemotherapy treatment. The side effects are becoming increasingly daunting, impacting her daily life and public engagements.

She is reportedly starting to see the side effects of her chemo rear their head, as experts suspect taking part in active summer activities might now prove daunting for the Princess of Wales, especially with three young children around.

Royal expert and commentator Christopher Anderson issued these sentiments and claims during his interview with the source. He began by offering insight into the princess’s athletic prowess and how it factors into their family life.

For those unversed, the royal mother of three has been undergoing a form of preventative cancer treatment since the beginning of 2024. Her cancer admission also follows that of King Charles and Sarah Ferguson, who are also undergoing similar treatments at their own pace.
